Ron Hutkin, PhD

After spending more than three decades as a community college administrator in positions ranging from dean to president, in 2004 Ron Hutkin became a faculty member at University of Phoenix. He earned his Master of Science in Technical Education from Bradley University and both a Ph.D. in Higher Education and Bachelor of Science from Southern Illinois University.

As a faculty member in the School of Advanced Studies, Ron teaches online courses in the Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership program (Ed.D.) and the Higher Education Administration program (Ph.D./HEA), and facilitates year 1, 3 and 4 doctoral residency courses. He is also responsible for helping doctoral learners in all School of Advanced Studies programs become more engaged in submitting their research for publication in professional journals and for presentations at various state, regional and national venues.

Ron is a life member of the American Technical Education Association, was an active member in several service clubs, served on regional and community economic development boards, and served as a member and officer on the board of directors of two Girl Scout councils.
