Siroos Mostaghimi, PhD

Siroos Mostaghimi has spent over 18 years in environmental science and engineering, primarily with the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in the areas of human and environmental exposure to and risk assessment of pesticides. He teaches science, environmental and general study courses online and at the University of Phoenix Northern Virginia Campus.

He holds a doctoral degree in agronomy from Ohio State University, a master's degree in environmental science and engineering from Virginia Tech and a master's degree in soil chemistry from Texas A&I University.

Siroos is a senior scientist and team leader for the EPA in the exposure and risk assessment of antimicrobial chemicals. He uses computer models to predict the fate and effects of chemicals on the environment as well as humans. He has been teaching with University of Phoenix since 2003.
