Thomas Milner, MA

Tom Milner brings over 27 years of law enforcement experience to the classroom, where he teaches courses in Criminal Justice & Security. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from California State University Chico and a Master of Arts in Leadership for the Public Sector from Saint Mary's College of California.

Tom, a graduate of the FBI National Academy, is currently a Commander in the Newark Police Department. In this role he is responsible for SWAT, the Gang Unit, the Police Honor Guard Team, School Resource Officers, the School Law Enforcement Partnership Program, Internal Affairs Investigations and Homeland Security-Terrorism Liaisons. Tom is a member of the California Tactical Officers Association, the California Hostage Negotiators Association and the FBI National Academy Association.

He is also active in the Bay Area Youth Intervention Program, the Las Lomas Football Foundation, the Newark Rotary Club and his local Chamber of Commerce.
