If you’re a career-changer interested in becoming an elementary school teacher, or if you have a teaching background and need to align your credentials with Indiana state requirements, our Transition to Teaching – Elementary Certificate program can help you achieve your goal.

This certificate program is intended for students who already hold a bachelor’s degree. It encompasses instruction in all educational disciplines, helping you build confidence as a general studies teacher in an elementary classroom setting. Blending academic theory with relevant coursework, field experiences and student teaching, the curriculum is designed to align with national standards set by the Association for Childhood Education International (ACEI), and includes all the essential elements required to help prepare you for a career in teaching

Montgomery GI Bill
