Paying it Forward - 2006 Profiles

Annazetta Henderson

Alumna - St. Louis, Missouri

Annazetta began pursuing a bachelor’s degree at University of Phoenix in order to obtain a higher position at her company. But with graduation came much more. Back from the brink of drug and alcohol addiction, Annazetta said that pursuing her degree has made her a more responsible and dedicated individual. Annazetta’s sister Brenda, who had encouraged Annazetta throughout her program, revealed that she decided she wanted to return to school. The Paying it ForwardSM Scholarship Program gives Annazetta the opportunity to not only repay Brenda’s support, but the chance to make a dream come true for her as well.

Brenda L. Priest

Recipient - Ellisville, Missouri

Brenda is a single mom to four children, ages 29, 27, 23 and 15. As a Financial Coordinator at St. Luke’s Hospital for 15 years, Brenda has gained a strong background in medical billing, and she has always wanted to further her accounting career. Now that her job of raising children is winding down, Brenda is eagerly awaiting the opportunity to do something for herself. Her sister Annazetta’s enthusiasm and commitment to finish her degree was inspiring. Brenda’s pride in her sister encouraged her to set some goals of her own.
