Finishing his college degree was Wil's lifetime dream, and University of Phoenix helped make it happen - and then some. Today, in addition to his business degree, Wil has also completed a master of arts and an MBA with an emphasis in health care management. The manager at Louisiana State University Health Services Division said that his college experience has helped him advance in his career and more than double his salary. Wil is not only his scholarship recipient’s boss, he is her friend, too. Wil is paying it forward because he knows a college degree can make her dreams come true.
Michele Ann Brown
Recipient - Harvey, Louisiana
Michele has always had a strong desire to return to school and earn a college degree. But struggles associated with being a single mother to a 12-year-old son and little family support have made going to college impossible. Receiving this scholarship will allow Michele to keep working while pursuing her education, and in turn, make her eligible for job promotions.
