Paying it Forward - 2007 Profiles
April S. Edmond
Alumna - Brown Summit, North Carolina
For many years, April has known her present and future are in making a difference through education. Since 2002, she has served as a pre-kindergarten teacher for the Guilford County Public School System, and she is a key member of different educational initiatives and programs at her church. In order to further her career, but mostly because of her desire and commitment to children, April enrolled at University of Phoenix and earned her master’s degree in early childhood education in 2006. But April is not ready to stop there. In her incessant search for self-growth, she will start her doctoral program at University of Phoenix next June. After experiencing the value of the knowledge and skills gained at University of Phoenix firsthand, April is proud to pay forward the opportunity to a childhood friend.
