University of Phoenix is pleased to collaborate with Teach For America to offer a scholarship program. Teach For America alumni are leveraging their experience closing the achievement gap in urban and rural public schools to become leaders that ensure kids growing up in poverty get an excellent education. They are continuing Teach For America’s mission to build the movement to eliminate educational inequity by enlisting our nation’s most promising future leaders to improve outcomes and opportunities for low-income students.
Through this scholarship program three (3) full-tuition scholarships will be offered. Each scholarship will allow a prospective student the opportunity to complete a Master’s of Arts in Education in Administration and Supervision (MAED/ADM) at University of Phoenix. Recipients must be current residents of Arizona and Teach For America alumni and may choose to attend a University of Phoenix on-ground campus or may attend University of Phoenix online.

This scholarship opportunity is in partnership with Teach For America, a non-profit organization and the scholarship process is managed by a staff member at Teach For America. The process includes, but is not limited to, application creation, application submission, selection committee formation and recipient list finalization. The application and any additional information submitted by eligible applicants will be subject to the Teach For America privacy and confidentiality policies, if any.
The recipient of this scholarship will be selected by the scholarship selection committee consisting of representatives from University of Phoenix and/or Teach For America. Non-staff members may assist in the selection committee process.
It is the applicant’s responsibility to submit a complete and signed application along with all the supporting documentation, which must be received on or before the deadline specified below. The scholarship selection committee accepts no responsibility for incomplete applications, applications not in proper form, lost applications, or any other submission in exception to the above instructions.
The scholarship award will be based on the committee’s scores of the overall quality of the application and the scholarship essay(s). The higher the average score, the higher the probability of selection.
Scholarship selection shall be made without regard to regard race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other category protected by federal, state, or local law.
The decision of the scholarship selection committee is final and not subject to a review process.
By applying for a University of Phoenix scholarship and/or accepting the scholarship award, the applicant and/or recipient agrees to the following terms and conditions. Failure to abide by any of the following terms and conditions shall result in either disqualification of the scholarship award or termination of the scholarship award.

For Applicants Under 21 Years of Age (ONLY)
If you are under 21 years of age, you must print out, sign and upload a copy of the scholarship terms & conditions and consent & release form.
A complete application and supporting documentation must be received on, or before, May 7, 2014. Applications received after the designated deadline will not be considered. No exceptions.
The scholarship committee will determine the recipients of the scholarship by the award date, July 2, 2014. You will be notified via email by award date regarding the status of the scholarship. You will receive a notification email regardless if you were selected as a recipient or not.
