University of Phoenix is pleased to partner with the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation to offer a scholarship program. Since forming the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation in 1997, a year before the expansion team took the field in 1998, the organization and Foundation have made charitable contributions totaling $25.8 million to non-profit organizations throughout Arizona over the last 14 years. The Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation focuses its efforts on three main areas of need: homelessness, indigent healthcare, and children’s programs of all types. The D-backs became the first professional sports team to win the inaugural 2010 United Nations NGO Positive Peace Award, which names the organization as the most positive team in the world and recognizes organizations that positively impact their community through corporate responsibility.
Through this scholarship program, three (3) full-tuition scholarships will be offered. Each scholarship will allow a prospective student the opportunity to complete an undergraduate or master’s degree program at University of Phoenix. Recipients may choose to attend a University of Phoenix on-ground campus or may attend University of Phoenix online.
