First Chance (SM) Scholarship Program
The First Chance (SM) Scholarship Program was created in 2006 to promote the life-changing benefits of education and honor individuals who have shown desire to improve their lives and the lives of those around them through education. The annual program will empower 100 individuals to complete bachelor’s degrees through full-tuition scholarships to University of Phoenix.

Kids’ Chance Scholarship Program
Kids’ Chance and the University of Phoenix are teaming up to create the Kids’ Chance Scholarship Program to help give deserving individuals the opportunity to receive an education and thus, prepare themselves for a better future. The Kids’ Chance program was founded in 1988 to serve as a vehicle to provide need-based scholarships to the families of seriously injured workers. The scholarship will cover full-tuition and fees for either an undergraduate or master’s degree program. Ten (10) scholarships will be awarded annually.

March of Dimes Florida Chapter Nursing Scholarship
As part of our ongoing commitment to provide access to nursing education opportunities and help ensure the future of quality healthcare in Florida, University of Phoenix, in partnership with the March of Dimes Florida Chapter, is offering four full-tuition scholarships to nurses pursuing advanced degrees (RN to BSN, RN to MSN) in maternal-child nursing. One full-tuition scholarship will be awarded at each of the four University of Phoenix campuses in Florida (North Florida, Central Florida, West Florida and South Florida) for a total of four scholarships.

Paying It Forward® Scholarship Program
University of Phoenix is proud to announce the 2009 Paying It Forward® Scholarship Program. University of Phoenix Alumni who have graduated from University of Phoenix with either a bachelor, master or doctoral degree are eligible to nominate a deserving individual to be awarded a full-tuition scholarship towards an undergraduate degree program of their choice. Recipients may choose to attend a University of Phoenix on- ground campus or may attend University of Phoenix online. Thirty (30) scholarships will be awarded.

University of Phoenix AMVETS Scholarship
AMVETS and University of Phoenix have established a relationship to offer this Scholarship Program. The program was created with the belief that members of our active military, veterans and their families wish to be successful and would like to have a better quality of life for themselves and their families, and it all starts with education. Fifty (50) scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $4,000. Scholarship award is a non-cash credit to each recipients University of Phoenix account. University of Phoenix has created a Severely Injured Veterans Scholarship Fund/Armed Forces Foundation - D.C. Area scholarship program to honor Washington D.C., Virginia, and Maryland’s brave men and women who return home from service in Iraq and Afghanistan with severe injuries. Through full-tuition scholarships, injured veterans are empowered to reach their academic goals or pursue second careers. University of Phoenix Severely Injured Veterans Scholarship program is especially proud to partner with Armed Forces Foundation in paying tribute to those who fight heroically for the protection of American freedoms. Four (4) full-tuition scholarships will be for severely injured veterans/service members, and one (1) full-tuition scholarship will be for a spouse or primary caretaker of a severely injured veteran/service member. These scholarships can be used toward one bachelor’s or master’s degree program of choice.

University of Phoenix Tuskegee Airmen Scholarship Program
University of Phoenix is pleased to partner with Tuskegee Airmen Scholarship Foundation (TASF) to offer scholarship opportunities to young men and women. The TASF began in 1979 to serve as a vehicle to provide annual scholarships to outstanding young people in their quest of excellence. Five (5) full-tuition scholarships will be awarded on September 1, 2009. These scholarships are directed toward recent high school graduates (2007 or later) and can be used toward a bachelor's degree program of choice. Recipients may choose to attend a University of Phoenix on- ground campus or may attend University of Phoenix online.

University of Phoenix, Phoenix Campus recognizes that many individuals aspire to further their career through education and have teamed up with Maricopa Community Colleges to offer scholarship opportunities to individuals in their community. These scholarships are directed toward prospective students who have completed an associate's degree from any one of the ten Maricopa Community Colleges and who wish to attend University of Phoenix, Phoenix Ground Campus, to pursue a bachelor's degree. Up to fifteen (15) $1,500 scholarships will be awarded.

University of Phoenix Chicagoland Campus recognizes that many individuals aspire to further their career through education therefore creating a full-tuition scholarship in memory of Pamela F. Poynter. This scholarship provides one deserving student with financial support to achieve their educational goals and career aspirations. One (1) full-tuition undergraduate scholarship will be awarded annually for student in their sophomore year up to 90 credit hours (three years) at the University of Phoenix Chicagoland campus; online programs, graduate level programs and Axia classes are not covered. At any one time there may be three Pamela F. Poynter Memorial Scholarships in effect.

Derek Owens was a Cleveland police officer who was slain while on duty in March 2008. Derek dedicated his life to the service of others. In his honor, University of Phoenix Cleveland Campus will award one full-tuition scholarship towards an associate’s degree at Axia College of University of Phoenix. The scholarship will cover full-tuition and fees and is designated for a deserving Cleveland Public Schools High School Senior expected to graduate in 2009.
