### Campus crime statistics

Campus crime statistics are located within the University’s Annual Security Report. The statistics cover crimes reported to the University over the previous three years that occurred on our campus, in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by the University and on public property within or immediately adjacent to and accessible from our campus.

The U.S. Department of Education collects crime statistics from institutions each fall and makes the data available to the public on these websites:[National Center for Education Statistics College Navigator](http://nces.ed.gov/collegenavigator/)and[U.S. Department of Education Campus Safety and Security](http://ope.ed.gov/campussafety/#/).

### Campus safety policies

The University’s complete [Campus Safety Policies (PDF)](/content/dam/edu/about/doc/campus-safety-policies.pdf)cover issues concerning crime prevention programs, crime reporting, notifications, alcohol and drug abuse prevention, dating violence, domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking awareness and prevention.

Campus Safety Policies were prepared to increase the University of Phoenix community's awareness of programs that were designed to prevent and report:

- crime
- dating violence, domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking
- alcohol and drug abuse
- other reportable offenses

These policies include specific procedures on reporting crimes, definitions on what is a reportable crime and how awareness helps prevent crime.

We’ve included helpful resources, such as who to contact when reporting a crime and 800 numbers for alcohol and drug programs.

Individual policies can be found at the links below:

## Other safety information

### Sex offender registry

To learn the identity of registered sex offenders on or near a campus, or anywhere in the U.S., visit the sex offender databases at[National Sex Offender Public Website](https://nsopw.gov/). This information is collected by other agencies, and we do not and cannot guarantee the information is correct or complete. We provide this information to comply with the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act (“Clery Act”), as amended, and for campus safety purposes only. It should not be used to intimidate, threaten or harass. Misuse of this information may result in prosecution.

Sex offenders who are required to register in a state must provide notice to each institution of higher education in that state at which the offender is employed or is a student. The Clery Compliance Officer or any Campus Security Authority (CSA) are designated to receive the information. Refer to the[Safety and Security volume (PDF)](/content/dam/edu/about/doc/safety-and-security-policies.pdf)of the Campus Safety Policies for a complete list of CSAs.

### Protection from discrimination on the basis of sex/gender

The University does not discriminate in its employment practices or in its educational programs or activities on the basis of sex or gender.
