Degrees of Success Podcast
Freda is a proud Doctor of Business from University of Phoenix whose work is grounded in faith, family and service. Recently inducted into the National Society of Leadership and Success, she lives out the values of scholarship, leadership and impact every day.
A former high school cheer captain turned podcast host, Freda brings that same spirit of encouragement into every conversation. As the voice behind Degrees of Success™, she uplifts others with heartfelt questions, genuine curiosity and a deep belief in the power of personal growth. Her favorite shows — like The Diary of a CEO and The Mel Robbins Podcast — inspire the meaningful dialogues she creates.
"Connecting with these exceptional University of Phoenix alumni has been a gift. I get raw, honest advice from incredibly successful people who, at the end of the day, are just humans who’ve accomplished things I’d only dreamed of."

Freda’s commitment to service isn’t just professional — it’s personal and deeply generational.
Born into a proud military family, Freda is the daughter of a retired sergeant major and a U.S. Marine. She’s also the granddaughter of service members, and that legacy continues to shape her values, leadership style and work ethic.
"Being a leader means serving first. Whether I’m leading a team or raising my kids, it’s about the same fundamental task: serving others by helping them grow."
As a University of Phoenix graduate, Freda is proud to be part of an institution that honors and supports military families and veterans. Learn more about how UOPX supports military-affiliated students.
When she’s not behind the mic, Freda is in full mom mode — cheering courtside, refereeing wrestling matches, or spotting her sons Isaac and Theo on their latest climbing adventure.
She’s a lifelong hiker with a deep love for North Mountain in Arizona, where she finds clarity and calm in the quiet.
Whether she’s sipping a London Fog, burning a creative spark, or just catching a moment of stillness, Freda brings presence, joy and intention to her everyday life.
Living with ADHD and raising a neurodivergent child have also shaped her into a passionate advocate for inclusivity and awareness — using her voice and platform to create space for others.
"You can literally do anything you put your mind to — you don’t have to come from money or be handed success."
