Course level: Doctorate Courses

This class presumes some basic understanding of the foundations and underlying assumptions in the field of qualitative research as well as examples of practice. Building upon this preexisting foundational understanding, the purpose of the class is to enhance students' understanding and craft through reading, application, and reflection on the practice of qualitative inquiry.

Prerequisites

This doctorate level course requires proof of completion of a Master's degree. Be prepared to provide documentation during the checkout process.

  • Describe the fundamental statistical concepts and techniques that underscore regression analysis.
  • Explain basic applied regression analysis concepts and the assumptions and inferences that guide the statistical data analysis.
  • Summarize concepts and models for correlation, multiple regression and bivariate/multivariate data analysis.
  • Identify and apply techniques and procedures for data management and cleaning.
  • Assess methods and screening strategies for managing discrepancies in the data.
  • Discuss the challenges of comprehensive data visualization in multivariate and multi-dimensional data analysis.
  • Analyze the relationships among correlation (i.e., bivariate data), multiple regression (i.e., multivariate data), and other regression analysis models.
  • Apply statistical concepts and techniques to multiple regression and multivariate data analyses.
  • Conduct bivariate and multivariate data analysis for regression research through selected statistical tests using SPSS applications.
  • Present and interpret results or outputs of multivariate data analysis through various selected statistical test(s) for interpretation.

A prerequisite is required for this course. The purpose of a prerequisite is to ensure students have the knowledge and/or skills needed to be successful in the course. Students are required to provide proof of prerequisite during the enrollment/registration process.

To meet a course prerequisite requirement, a student must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Successfully completed the prerequisites course at University of Phoenix

  • Provide proof via transcript of completing a comparable course (at least 75% match) or higher level course with at least a grade of C at another institution.

  • Have a University of Phoenix approved Student Appeal on file with the University.

Prepare your documents
