Course level: Upper Division
This course introduces students to the diagnostic criteria for alcohol- and drug-related addiction disorders. Students examine the intricacies of multiple disorders related to substance abuse and dependence and their prevalence in society, with a special focus on the effects on the criminal justice system. Students also survey a variety of other addiction disorders.
