"Survival of health care institutions is primarily dependent on how well marketing succeeds at acquiring market share. This course examines key marketing concepts within the health care industry. Learners will examine the financial success of health care institutions from a market share perspective including pricing, promotion, and distribution of services. Competency A: Analyze marketing principles relevant to health care. Competency B: Apply evidence-based research to assess internal and external health care marketing methods and opportunities. Competency C: Examine the role of strategic marketing in health care in acquiring and maintaining market share. Competency D: Analyze contemporary issues that affect health care marketing. Competency E: Produce effective marketing communication strategies for relevant stakeholders."
