Globalization of Health Care
Course level: Graduate
This course focuses on global health care systems with the objective of improving the U.S. health care systems. Topics include global health issues, advocacy organizations, comparative political processes, and the economic of health financing. Students will understand the role of various international governing structures on health policy development. Competency A: Evaluate national and international health care systems to identify global health issues. Competency B: Analyze how national and international political and legislative processes, market forces, and social mores influence health care. Competency C: Compare economic factors affecting national and international health financing. Competency D: Evaluate the influence of advocacy organizations on national and international health care systems. Competency E: Assess the role and influence of international governing structures on health care systems.
