Dnp Practice Dissertation I
Course level: Graduate
This course is a continuation of DNP/750 which builds upon the foundation established in the first year residency. The outcome of this course will be a précis that articulates a specific goal and plan that will evolve into the student's DNP Practice Dissertation. Competency A: Refine a practice problem for the development of a DNP practice dissertation utilizing the selected PICOT question. Competency B: Explain concepts of research methods, research designs, and data analysis processes appropriate to the study of a specified evidence-based practice problem. Competency C: Outline how to apply ethical principles in a research plan to reduce bias and provide for the protection of human subjects. Competency D: Articulate rationale for the inclusion of stakeholders and interprofessional collaboration as integral to an identified focus of study. Competency E: Develop a comprehensive précis reflecting a feasible, meaningful, and aligned DNP practice dissertation study that addresses a gap in the literature and would be important to leaders in a specific field of study.
