This seminar is designed to focus on the development of the student's précis submitted in DOC/720R. The development and revision of the précis will be ongoing throughout this 3-week seminar. Topics in the seminar include problem statements, research questions, hypotheses and testing, samples and populations, and the intended impact of the study on the profession and society. The outcome of this seminar is a revised précis that articulates a specific goal and plan that will evolve into the student's dissertation. This seminar will incorporate students from various doctoral programs/disciplines. Course Competency: Develop a précis reflecting a feasible, meaningful, and aligned dissertation study that addresses a gap in the literature and would be important to leaders in your specific field of study.
