Doctoral Project IV
Course level: Graduate
This course is a continuation of DOC/734 for candidates to finalize their dissertation as the significant contribution to the body of knowledge. The candidate prepares and submits the dissertation for University approval and completes the formal oral defense of the dissertation in this course. The chair and committee members will work with the candidate to re-assess and improve readiness and skill preparation for completion of the dissertation. An approved dissertation is required to complete this class. Candidates receive continued support from chair and committee members to be engaged in communities of scholarship and practice. Competency A: Develop a completion plan for the dissertation Competency B: Analyze data from research study to form the results section of the dissertation. Competency C: Synthesize study results to form the recommendations and conclusions of the dissertation. Competency D: Revise language from dissertation proposal for initial chapters of dissertation. Competency E: Develop final dissertation integrating the updated proposal chapters in alignment with the results and recommendations sections. Competency F: Obtain approval from Quality Review Final. Competency G: Complete oral defense. Competency H: Explore communities for presenting and/or publishing research
