Introduction to The Human Services Profession
Course level: Lower Division
This course provides an overview on the relationship between the human service profession and our nation's communities. Beginning with the historical roots and creation of the human service profession, students will gain an initial exposure to how legislation, families, and communities influence service delivery. A range of community structures and the role of diversity and context in determining and meeting human needs will also be introduced.
