This course offers an immersive experience by blending theoretical knowledge with a virtual laboratory component. Students will explore fundamental principles of organic chemistry, covering topics such as molecular properties, systematic nomenclature, and diverse functional groups. The investigation continues with molecular analysis, isomerism, stereochemistry, and spatial arrangements-- essential for understanding molecular reactivity. By analyzing key reactions and their mechanisms, students will establish a strong foundation for predicting and comprehending chemical transformations pivotal in organic synthesis, including nucleophilic substitution and addition reactions. Additionally, the course covers the interpretation of spectroscopic techniques, such as infrared and NMR spectroscopy. The skills acquired in this course are tailored to align with both academic and practical applications of organic chemistry.
