Getting to the ceremony

Check with Orlando Department of Transportation for any road closures the weekend of commencement.

Get directions to the venue and transportation information.

Parking is available in Garage F (free to graduates, first come, first serve). For Garage D, Garage H and Garage C the parking fee is $10 (CASH ONLY). There will be signage for a designated drop off point in front of the arena.

Associate, bachelor's and master's graduates will enter at The Venue, which is located on the north side of the Addition Financial Arena. You'll see a black awning with The Venue name above the entrance. The Venue is in the back of the arena's Main Entrance across from the soccer stadium.

Doctoral graduates will enter at the Cypress Door, which is located on the north east side of the arena.

Guests will enter at the Main Entrance of the arena, which is located on the south side of the building.

Everyone will go through metal detectors before entering the buildings. Re-entry is highly discouraged and will require a stamp upon exiting and passing through the metal detectors again upon return.

Graduates – GradPass (Name Card/Ticket)

The GradPass is your ticket into the venue and includes your name and degree. This will be used to announce your name and displayed when you cross the stage.

You should have received a separate email with instructions on how to access your GradPass and reserve your guest tickets.

Once you complete the steps to reserve tickets, you can send them to your guests electronically. Have them digitally available to show and/or print them out. We recommend printing them out as it will go faster for entry.

Note: When you selected number of guests during the registration steps, this was not your tickets for entry.

ADA accommodations

If any of your guests will require ADA accommodations at the commencement ceremony, there will be staff at the venue who can assist with seating accommodations. Please be sure to provide your own wheelchair, whether it is for a guest or graduate.

The arena will have a designated spot to store strollers.

Due to Fire Marshal regulations, strollers are not permitted in the seating area. Please be advised that University of Phoenix is not responsible for any damage or loss to personal property.

We ask all graduates to stay until the end of the ceremony out of respect to the remaining graduates. The conclusion of the ceremony is when you are officially done and can celebrate by moving your tassel over as recognition of being a graduate. Guests will be released in an orderly fashion to ensure a safe exit for everyone. Afterward, you will exit the ceremony and go outside where you can meet your friends and family.

Bag size limitations

Safety at the ceremony is our top priority. There are bag size limitations at this venue. This event will not enforce the clear bag policy. All bags are subject to search.
