Working in their chosen industry for an average of 19 years, our College of Education faculty members also have an average of seven years teaching with University of Phoenix. 00:22 The University of Phoenix College of Education has been in existence for more than 30 years and has graduated over 86,000 individuals.
00:29 In addition, we were one of the first institutions of higher education to offer teacher education online.
00:36 Our mission is to prepare candidates that possess the knowledge, skills, dispositions, and dedication to life-long learning that will support their practice as educational professionals.
00:46 The College of Education has a robust portfolio of program offerings in the area of initial teacher preparation, specializing in elementary, early childhood, secondary, liberal studies, and special education; as well as degree programs for current teacher who want to enhance their careers in the areas of administration and supervision, curriculum and instruction, and adult education and training.

01:35 As a learning community of practice, we provide our students with access to a variety of resources, including a collection of toolkits focused on hot topics in education, a technical resource library, and suggestions to various digital resources with more than 10,000 primary-source videos that are aligned to subject area and grade level for creating robust lesson plans.
