The University of Phoenix Downtown Detroit Student Resource Center in Detroit, Michigan is just another way we’re putting higher education within the reach of our students in Michigan.

University of Phoenix Supports the Detroit Area

Now, you can attend classes in the Detroit Central Business District at the Doubletree Guest Suites Fort Shelby/Detroit Downtown, within walking distance of our Downtown Detroit Student Resource Center. 

You can enroll in classes at the Downtown Detroit Student Resource Center or through our Online Campus. Either way, you’ll get the support you need to complete your bachelor’s or master’s degree right here in Detroit. 

Our Downtown Detroit Student Resource Center is housed in the historic Dime Building designed by early 20th century architect Daniel Burnham. The Dime Building was completed in 1912 and features Neo-Classical architecture with a glazed terra cotta exterior and a soaring multi-level lobby that stretches 23 floors. 

At the Downtown Detroit Student Resource Center, located in the Detroit Central Business District across from Campus Martius Park, you can speak to an enrollment advisor, walk to class at the Doubletree, attend academic workshops, receive tutoring, use the computer lab, grab a bite to eat in the lobby or just have a quiet place to study. 

We’re open from Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Classes at the Doubletree Guest Suites Fort Shelby/Detroit Downtown run Monday through Friday from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
