Health Administration Degree Concentrations

The MHA program allows you to customize your graduate education and choose from several concentrations that have the greatest potential for growth.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2012 baby boomers will be aged 48 – 66. This forecasts an increasing need in gerontology service as this large generation moves toward advanced age.

Your MHA/Gerontology degree concentration addresses the physical, emotional and cultural needs of the aged, as well as human services, economic and legal factors that influence the elderly. You will be able to help provide the best care because our program is balanced with practical strategies along with the human side of aging to manage a gerontology health practice.

HIPAA requirements, increases in treatment modalities and greater patient flow have made managing clinical information and patient records a field that’s growing in scope and importance.

Your MHA concentration in Informatics offers a comprehensive view of the profession, including essential resources and methods to optimize the acquisition, storage, retrieval and use of information in a health care environment. Your informatics knowledge can apply to most health care environments, including medical clinics, hospitals, pharmacies and dental practices.

If educating future health care professionals or educational administration is your passion, then our MHA/Education degree concentration will provide you with the proper tools. You’ll learn curriculum development, student assessment and the latest teaching and learning strategies to apply to your future career.
