Dr. Anne Brett
Dr. Anne Liners Brett has been teaching at the University of Phoenix since 2004 having taught in the RN to BSN, MSN and SAS doctoral programs. Currently her focus in on supporting doctoral students along their dissertation journey as well as teaching courses in the Nursing PhD program.
Dr. Brett brings 40 years of experience in higher education and health care to the classroom. She has held the title of faculty member and program chair. She served as President of Cox College; Vice President CoxHealth Springfield, MO in from 2007 to 2013; Faculty, Program Director, Dean and Executive Dean: Moraine Park Technical College West Bend WI from 1982 to 2007; and Clinical Nurse Specialist, Nursing Supervisor with Zablocki Veterans Administration Medical Center Milwaukee WI from 1975 to 1982. Her passion is for educating the next generation of nurses and health care providers. As a member of the health care team, Dr. Brett has been a clinical nurse specialist, nursing supervisor and vice president within large health care systems.
Dr. Brett retired from full time academia in 2013 and now serves as a consultant and contributes her knowledge and expertise to her the nursing profession. She is currently a consultant and consultation manager for NurseTim, Inc. supporting student, faculty and programmatic success in nursing education. She also continues to be a peer reviewer for the Higher Learning Commission.
Dr. Brett has numerous publications and presentations addressing topics such as nursing faculty, work environment, curriculum development, mentoring and supporting new faculty members. Dr. Brett is also a member of Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society.
