Fred Holmes IV, MA

Fred Holmes IV has been a faculty member at University of Phoenix for over six years. Fred earned a Master of Arts in Information Systems/Management from University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of South Alabama.

His professional experience is based on more than 23 years working in Information Technology. Fred began his IT career as a Computer Equipment Technician for Mobile(AL)County, then became a Systems Engineer with NetTek. He spent seven years as the Network Administrator for the Mobile County Sheriff's Office where he designed and built the network. In 2007, he moved to Dallas, TX to work as a Network Engineer for Dallas County. He is currently a Senior Network Engineer at Dallas County focusing on routing and switching, wireless, network security and the data center.

Fred has also focused on professional career certifications. He currently has his CCNP Routing and Switching and CCNP Security. He is working towards his CCIE Routing and Switching.
