- Wildest Club in Town presents the University of Phoenix Kid’s Day at the Phoenix Zoo
On Tuesday, April 21, 2009, students from the Phoenix Day School for the Deaf will experience animals in a new way at the Phoenix Zoo. The University of Phoenix Kid’s Day is planned by the Wildest Club in Town and the AZ Deaf and Blind Foundation and will include a special animal encounter, lunch, a Safari Train ride and a gift.

- University of Phoenix Forms Articulation Agreement with Sun Microsystems to Provide Value to Students, Alumni
In an ongoing effort to open the doors to new educational pathways for prospective and current students in the field of Information Technology, University of Phoenix, the nation’s largest institution of higher education, has signed a collaborative articulation agreement with Sun Microsystems where college credit can be awarded to students who hold Sun certifications.

- Arizona High School Students Learn Workforce Skills Through JA –You’re Hired! Event
Arizona high school students will prepare to enter the workforce by learning integral business skills, such as interviewing techniques, resume writing, conflict resolution, problem solving and interpersonal communications through an innovative program called "JA – You’re Hired!" The inaugural event is a partnership between Junior Achievement of Arizona, Inc., and University of Phoenix and is scheduled on Friday, April 29; 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at Tempe Center for the Arts in Tempe, Ariz.

Becoming a professional snowboarder at the age of 21 is quite a feat, but combining that with earning a BS in Marketing through the University of Phoenix (UOPX) Northern Nevada campus while traveling the world for competitions, and you have the makings of quite an interesting young woman.

- University of Phoenix-Florida Announces Partnership with March of Dimes Florida Chapter
University of Phoenix’s Florida campuses announced their official partnership with the March of Dimes Florida Chapter, which will involve fundraising and volunteer efforts to support the non-profit organization and its April 25 March for Babies events. Additionally, in an ongoing commitment to provide access to nursing education opportunities and ensure the future of quality healthcare in Florida, the University will be offering one full-tuition scholarship at each of the four Florida campuses for students pursing either a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or a Master of Science in Nursing. Recipients may choose to attend class on-ground at one of our University of Phoenix Florida campus locations or may attend online.
