The Business Management Certificate Program (Noncredit) is designed for professionals looking to advance their understanding of business concepts including how organizational functions interact in execution of business strategy. Although not equivalent to a business degree, this certificate contains an overview of similar topics. Students will learn the roles and responsibilities of various organizational functions, which will help prepare them to lead or manage a business unit. The certificate is comprised of 40 instructional hours selected from a menu of options according to a student's interest. Students will begin with an 8-hour foundational course in business strategy, which explores the inter-relationships between various functions of an enterprise in executing a business strategy while aligning to the mission and vision of the organization. Students will choose from a collection of courses for the remaining 32 hours of coursework. Course choices include topic areas such as accounting, entrepreneurship, financial analysis, human resources, leadership, marketing, operations, strategic planning, and more. Students will complete 40 instructional hours, earn 4.0 Continuing Education Units (CEU), and earn a Letter of Completion.<\/p>
