Health Care Business Management Certificate Program (Noncredit)
The Health Care Business Management Certificate Program (Noncredit) is designed for health care professionals looking to advance their understanding of business concepts including how health care organizational functions interact in execution of business strategy. Although not equivalent to business degree, this certificate contains an overview of similar topics. Students will learn the roles and responsibilities of various organizational functions, which will help prepare them to lead or manage a health administration group within a business unit. The certificate is comprised of 48 instructional hours. Students must complete 20 instructional hours of health care focused courses in topic areas such as business strategy, finance, information systems, and legal and regulatory issues. For the remaining 28 instructional hours of coursework, students will choose from a collection of business courses in topic areas such as accounting, human resources, leadership, marketing, operations, entrepreneurship and more. Students will complete 48 instructional hours, earn 4.8 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and earn a Letter of Completion.
