University of Phoenix is pleased to collaborate with the JROTC to offer a scholarship program. Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (JROTC) is a high school course taught by retired military personnel at selected public and private schools in the United States and its territories. In Georgia, there are more than 200 units representing the four service branches. The goal of JROTC is to motivate young people to be better Americans. The JROTC aims to provide a quality citizenship, character, and leadership development program, while fostering partnerships with communities and educational institutions. JROTC gives instruction about the rights, responsibilities, and privileges of citizenship. It helps to develop the student cadet's sense of personal responsibility. The program also helps to build life skills and provide leadership opportunities.
