Tangela Williams-Daniel, EdD

Tangela Williams-Daniel has more than 15 years of experience as an educator, professor, staff developer and educational leader. She is the Campus Area Chair for the College of Education at the South Florida Campus, where she teaches courses in humanities and education. Tangela holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a concentration in Special Education from Florida State University, and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership and Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership specializing in Human Resource and Development from Nova Southeastern University.

Tangela has been employed in Florida’s Public School System for more than 15 years, and currently serves as Math Coach for the Miami-Dade County Public Schools. Over the course of her career, she’s worked in a variety of low performing urban schools in a support role capacity, assisting teachers and students in elevating their state letter grade as well as promoting parental involvement to increase student achievement.

In May 2010, Tangela was named University of Phoenix Faculty Rookie of the Year and has received numerous other awards in education. She is a member of the National Alliance of Black School Educators and the United Teachers of Dade.
