Online and Local Campus Learning Formats

  • Welcome to your kind of university.

With the freedom of taking classes online and on-campus, and being able to start when you want—your education can happen on your schedule, at your pace.

We have over 200 locations—one within 10 miles of 87 million Americans. Classes on-campus meet once a week, typically in the evening—so you can go to work and still find time for school.

You’ll also be glad to know that you can register, pay tuition and complete the coursework for most degree programs, all from your computer or laptop. You can log-in and participate in class whenever you want, from wherever you want. Imagine taking a class from where you’re sitting right now. You’ll complete and submit coursework through electronic forums while having 24/7 access to technical support—which is especially helpful if you’re not a computer wizard. By the time you graduate, you’ll be able to use technology to learn, collaborate and even help you think. Until then, we’re here to help whenever you need it.

If you’re a bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral student, you’ll have access to a vast collection of eBooks and texts. And you’ll work closely with a Learning Team, a group of three-to-five peers you’ll collaborate with to write research papers, prepare presentations or complete special projects. Your team will depend on you and you’ll depend on them. Just like in the real world.

We encourage students to work and study in tandem, so that you can put your education into practice in real-time. That way you can start making a difference in your organization before you even graduate.

If You Think University of Phoenix is Different, You’re Right.

If you’ve seen our campuses or have read student testimonials, you know we’re not your typical university. We’ve transformed the way you learn by shedding the ivy covered buildings and crowded lecture halls. We know that things change—especially education and enterprise.

Here, you have the freedom to both work and earn your degree. Being a working adult used to mean you were locked into a life of 9 to 5. And if you wanted to earn a degree, unfortunately, most classes were only held during the day, forcing you to choose between putting food on the table and furthering your college education.

Today, the only thing you have to decide is when, and how, you go to school: online or at a local campus.

Your Choice is Simple. Earn Your Degree at Our Home or Yours.

You can attend classes at a location near you and interact with other working adults who are juggling the same demands and working toward similar goals. You can attend classes at one of our more than 200 campuses and learning centers throughout the country.

Or you can do it all online after your work day is done. You’ll still get the same built-in support and rigorous education that you would if you physically attended a campus. Our online programs are accessible in most countries around the world and you have online resources available to you like our University Library, the Center for Mathematics Excellence, and the Center for Writing Excellence, which enable you to access research materials, tutorials in Math and Statistics and writing resources.

The accessibility of our degree programs and our resources doesn’t mean that our degree programs are any easier, it just makes it possible for you to go after the education you want and the self-improvement you’re looking for.

Committed to You From Start to Finish

No matter what learning format you choose, you’ll have your own personal team of advisors to help you work through any speed bumps along the way. This Graduation Team support will help you schedule your classes, find financial options to pay for school and generally help you stay on track.

And to make sure you can resolve any technical issues you may face as a student, we have a whole technical support team committed to answering your questions. They’ll even help you resolve technical issues that have nothing to do with our learning software. If the problem is with your computer provider, our technical support team will stay on the line with you to translate all that geek talk into easy-to-follow instructions.

It’s not the type of support you expect from a university. But it’s the kind of personalized
attention we give to all our students.

Like we said, we’re different. Find a program near you and get started today.
