SPRINGFIELD, MO, November 6, 2008 — University of Phoenix celebrates homecoming with a tailgate party for Ozarks area alumni Monday, November 10, 2008, at the Springfield campus, 1343 E. Kingsley. The celebration kicks off at 6 p.m. and features a reunion/social hour and cook out before the Arizona Cardinals take on the San Francisco 49ers live from University of Phoenix Stadium in Phoenix, AZ.

Alumni empowered to Pay It Forward, Applications for 30 4-year University of Phoenix scholarships due November 14, 2008

Alumni are invited to nominate deserving friends, colleagues, and community members for the 2008 Paying It Forward Scholarship program. Thirty full-tuition scholarships will be awarded to recipients--giving them the chance to pursue an associate's or bachelor's degree at University of Phoenix in a program of their choosing either on campus or online.

Applications will be accepted through November 14, 2008, with recipients named in January of 2009. More information and applications are available by visiting http://payingitforward.phoenix.edu.

Thirty scholarship recipients will be selected by a committee comprised of University of Phoenix Alumni.*
