Locked-In Pricing Guarantee: Beginning November 2, 2026, all new students will be charged the same tuition rates and resource fees in effect for their enrolled program through their completion deadline unless they change programs. With the exception of any tuition and/or resource fee guarantee, the University may change its tuition or fees in its discretion.
Tuition Guarantee: Students enrolled prior to November 2, 2026 — or prior to January 4, 2027 for military students — will continue to pay their established tuition rate for their enrolled program unless they change programs. The Tuition Guarantee covers the tuition rate but does not include resource fees. With the exception of any tuition and/or resource fee guarantee, the University may change its tuition or fees in its discretion.
On rare occasion, additional fees may apply depending on your program, courses, assessments or services you use. A list of these fees are available in the Tuition and Fees section of the Academic Catalog. In limited circumstances, some courses may require an additional textbook that is not covered by the resource fee. View a full listing of these University courses.
Students can learn about their applicable program completion deadline and view their applicable guaranteed tuition rates and resource fees in their point of entry catalog and the current academic catalog, which are available in their student portal at https://my.phoenix.edu/academic-catalog.html.

The full cost of your program is based on several factors. This includes the number of credits per course—typically 3 credits but ranging from 1 to 6—and whether you have eligible transfer credits or qualify for other savings opportunities. But we’re here to help!

All students who sign an enrollment agreement on or after November 2, 2026 (January 4, 2027 for military students) are eligible. The Locked-In Pricing Guarantee allows you to know the all-in cost of each course before you enroll and keep that price locked in for the entirety of your enrolled program.

At the University of Phoenix, you have multiple options to pay for your education, giving you the flexibility to choose what works best for you. Potential options include:
- Federal financial aid: Apply for grants, loans, or both by completing the FAFSA and meeting necessary requirements.
- Military or Veterans Affairs benefits: Use benefits like the GI Bill® or Tuition Assistance, with payments billed directly to the appropriate agency.[1]
- Employer tuition assistance: Employers may cover some or all tuition costs for employees.
- Tuition deferral: Delay tuition payments when using military benefits or employer reimbursement; uncovered fees must be paid upfront.
- Third-party billing: The University bills approved third parties, such as employers, directly for tuition and fees.
- Cash payment plans: Pay tuition upfront using credit cards, checks, or e-checks.
- Private student loans: Borrow from private lenders to cover costs not met by federal aid, subject to credit and lender terms.
How your payments work will depend on the funding method you select. For example, payment schedules and processes may vary if you're using financial aid, employer assistance or a cash payment plan.

- Testing for credit: Demonstrate your existing knowledge by taking a test from one of the acceptable National Testing Programs such as CLEP, DSST, AP and many more from credit that may be applied to your degree program.
- Military credits: All branches of the military have had military experience assessed through the American Council of Education (ACE). The University honors these credit recommendations, and those credits can be applied to your undergrad program at University of Phoenix.
- Community college benefits: Leverage agreements between the University of Phoenix and select community colleges across the U.S. to save on your education.
- Special tuition rates: Associate degree graduates, alumni and military students are eligible for lower tuition rates.

In addition to our Locked-In Pricing Guarantee, some students may be eligible for special tuition rates:
- Associate degree graduates: As a graduate from an accredited college or university, you have access to a special tuition rate on your bachelor’s degree.
- Alumni: You can take advantage of an exclusive alumni offer to save on another degree.
- Military students: If you are affiliated with the U.S. Armed Forces, as active-duty service members and family members of active duty and selected reserve, you may be eligible for a lower, special tuition rate. We also waive resource fees for qualifying undergraduate service members.
Please note that students who receive a reduced tuition rate in one of the categories described above will not be eligible for any other University tuition and/or fee reduction, waiver, benefit or offer, subject to the exception above for military students. If a student wishes to use any other University tuition and/or fee reduction, waiver, benefit or offer, it will only be applied to the University's standard tuition rate.
