This course provides a foundational perspective for ethics and social responsibility in relationship to individuals, organizations, and the community. Emphasis is placed on the interrelated nature of ethics, morality, legal responsibility, and social issues.

Course skills and outcomes
In this course you learn to:
- Examine two ethical theories, and analyze how each could be applied in the context of a specific contemporary social issue.
- Compare and contrast ethical, moral, and religious perspectives of decision-making, and summarize the strengths and weaknesses of each approach to social responsibility.
- Outline the various philosophical and historical bases for ethical decision-making.
