Health & Nutrition For Educators
Course level: Continuing Teacher Education
This course provides an overview of health and nutrition education for the K-12 classroom teacher. Topics include wellness and nutrition, cardiovascular health and exercise, stress management, the use and abuse of alcohol, tobacco, and drugs, and sexually transmitted diseases. Participants assess personal health habits through health assessments and reflections. Plans and resources for sharing important health and nutrition information with students are also explored. This course is not available for enrollment to residents of Alabama, Arkansas, and Kentucky.
