Frequently asked questions

As a Manpower associate, you’re eligible for Full College Tuition Coverage if you:

  • Are working on assignment at the time you register for the Full College Tuition Coverage program.
  • Be on an active Manpower Assignment when we run each eligibility check (eligibility for the program is verified 1 week prior to each course beginning).
  • Are working toward your first bachelor’s degree.

Manpower will confirm your working status and eligibility before each course you take. This program is available only through University of Phoenix. See the full eligibility requirements and guidelines for the Full College Tuition Coverage Program by logging into Secure Self Service on manpower.com.

No. Some Manpower locations are not currently participating in the Full College Tuition Coverage Program. Check with your local Manpower office to see if it’s participating, or review this list of non-participating office locations.

No. The program is purely voluntary and not required for your job. You can stay employed with Manpower whether you’re in the Full College Tuition Program or not.

Email mypath@manpower.com if you have eligibility or other questions about the Full College Tuition Coverage Program.

To stay eligible for the Full College Tuition Coverage Program, you must be on an active Manpower assignment one week prior to each course beginning when eligibility is checked. If your assignment ends while you’re in the program, you can finish the course you’re in without additional cost to you. However, you won’t be able to start another class under the Full College Tuition Coverage Program until you have another assignment.

You’re welcome to continue your education with University of Phoenix at your own expense. The University provides a reduced tuition rate of $750 per course for the rest of your benefit year (calculated as 365 days from your first day of attendance in your first course).

However, we encourage you to work with your local office or recruiter to secure another assignment so we can better cover your tuition costs.

No. Any courses you’ve completed (or are actively participating in when you lose an assignment) are completely covered. However, any future courses will not be covered until you’re on another assignment.

No. Manpower will pay the required amount for course enrollment regardless of your final grade. However, if you’re struggling to keep your grades up, get support from University of Phoenix in the form of tutoring, counseling and other resources.

Manpower will pay for up to six courses and up to $4,500 per calendar year (January 1 through December 31) or benefit year (calculated as 365 days from your first day of attendance in your first course). To find out which applies to you, mail mypath@manpower.com to contact a Manpower staff employee.

Even if you don’t qualify for the Full College Tuition Coverage Program, Manpower has worked with University of Phoenix to offer employees a lower tuition rate than non-employees get. So instead of paying a per-credit rate like other students pay, you’ll see a flat $750 tuition per course, plus any applicable course materials fees.

To see what non-employees pay, check out the current pricing.

University of Phoenix will waive the tuition and course materials fees for each associate’s seventh and eighth consecutive courses taken in any calendar or benefit year, provided you’re still otherwise eligible for as long as the Full College Tuition Coverage Program. That means you must still be on assignment with Manpower.

Also, as a Manpower associate, you’ll get a flat $750 per-course tuition rate for any courses you take outside the Full College Tuition Coverage Program. You’ll also be responsible for applicable course materials fees.

Generally, no. University of Phoenix will waive your course materials fees for your first eight courses per each benefit year. However, you’ll need a computer and access to the Internet — both at your own expense.

No. You must complete the courses and required coursework on your own time, outside your normal working hours.

Education costs have risen an average of 2.6% in the U.S. every year. Meanwhile, the annual ManpowerGroup Talent Shortage Survey shows that the percentage of employers who experience difficulties filling job vacancies continues to rise.

Manpower is working to solve both problems by helping you get the education and in-demand skills — without letting tuition costs stop you.

Your education costs under the Full College Tuition Coverage Program are covered in two ways: directly by Manpower and through non-borrowing federal grants or assistance.

You’ll need to fill out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), but don’t worry. You won’t need to take out any loans for costs covered under the Full College Tuition Coverage Program. Even if you don’t qualify for any non-borrowing federal grants or assistance, Manpower will cover your eligible tuition costs.

Access the Full College Tuition Coverage Program guidelines by logging into Secure Self Service on manpower.com.

Completing a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form is required as part of the Full College Tuition Coverage Program to determine whether you’re eligible for federal financial aid. We require this step because any aid you may receive lowers our program costs and allows us to keep funding tuition for many of our employees.

Federal aid is based on financial need using your tax returns and other information. Manpower will pay the difference between any non-borrowing (sources that aren’t loans) financial aid options such as Pell Grants, for up to six courses, up to a maximum value of $4,500 per year. Manpower will be billed for these payments directly, so you can focus on your education.

Yes, Manpower will pay tuition if you’re eligible for the Full College Tuition Coverage Program Manpower will fund the tuition for up to six courses per year up to $4,500 in any calendar year or benefit year (calculated as 365 days from your first day of attendance in your first course). In other words, Manpower funding does not cover the completion of more than six courses in any single calendar year or any single benefit year.

University of Phoenix will waive the tuition for your seventh and eighth consecutive course taken within any calendar year or benefit year (as applicable) as long as the Full College Tuition Coverage Program remains in effect.

No. Associates who participate in this Full College Tuition Coverage Program may not apply for or accept any student loan funds. If an associate applies for or accepts any student loan proceeds or funds, the associate will cease to be eligible to participate in the Full College Tuition Coverage Program. If the associate decides to continue taking courses from University of Phoenix, he or she must pay for the courses including any course materials fees at their own expense.

The Full College Tuition Coverage Programs covers all University of Phoenix degree programs except:

  • Bachelor of Science in Education/Early Childhood Education
  • Bachelor of Science in Education/Elementary Teacher Education
  • Bachelor of Science in Social Work
  • RN to Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • RN to Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Competency Based)

It depends. Whether previous credits will transfer to University of Phoenix will be determined by University of Phoenix in accordance with its prior learning assessment policies and procedures.
