"This course will focus on the exploration of organizational and systems theory for quality improvement science. Students will contribute to the development of transformational leadership strategies to facilitate changes in health care systems. Competencies: Examine organizational and systems theory to improve processes of healthcare organizations. Apply transformational leadership strategies to effectively communicate, empower staff, and facilitate change in health care systems. Evaluate multiple resource and risk management approaches and processes for meeting short-term goals, sustaining long-term objectives, and fulfilling an organization's mission. Integrate evidence-based metrics, change theory, and ethical considerations to improve business operations in the health care environment."
