In this course, students will have the opportunity to examine the traits, trends, and needs of today's health care consumer. Students will examine current consumer information for readability, implications for the selection of products and services, and differentiation of health care web sources.

  • Analyze how consumers share health information and the implications of those communication methods.
  • Analyze the impact of government agencies on products and services available to the health care consumer.

  • Explain how the consumer’s options for health care are changing.
  • Explain the importance of relevancy and engagement to the health care consumer.
  • Discuss how advances in technology and medicine may enable consumers to make healthy or unhealthy choices.
