Course level: Upper Division
Students learn to integrate social work theory and practice related to assessment, evaluation, and intervention at community and organizational levels, as well as how to assess community needs and identify community resources. Students gain professional skills for initiating change in organizations and communities, understanding issues of social stratification, conflict, resistance to change, and methods for overcoming resistance.
