Innovative online modules designed to develop soft skills for today's dynamic work environment
University of Phoenix is pleased to introduce a new career-focused skills pathway focused on soft skills through its Professional Development Skills Center. The pathway is designed to equip businesses and their employees with the skills necessary for effective cross-functional collaboration, problem-solving, decision-making, time management, and empathetic communication techniques.
According to the World Economic Forum’s Future of Jobs Report 2023, soft skills such as resilience, flexibility, curiosity, and empathy are becoming critical to the workforce. Based on a survey of 803 companies, which employ more than 11.3 million workers across 27 industries and 45 economies worldwide, resilience, flexibility, and agility are prioritized for reskilling and upskilling in 41% of organizations from 2023 to 2027, ranking 4th in importance. Curiosity and lifelong learning are prioritized in 35% of organizations, ranking 6th.
“Our soft skills pathways are designed to help businesses and employees thrive by offering practical and flexible methods for attaining valuable skills,” stated Vice President and General Manager of Professional Development at the University of Phoenix Mukund Sudarsan. “By focusing on skills such as collaboration, problem-solving, and time management, we aim to empower individuals to navigate complex workplace challenges and help drive organizational success.”
