00:02 Welcome to Blackboard Ultra. 00:04 When you first log in, you'll be taken to the Blackboard Ultra Interface, a landing page for you to see up-to-date information about all of your courses. 00:13 The menu on the left hand side includes features that let you do things like adjust your profile settings, view and activity stream with up to the minute classroom updates, add personal events to a global calendar, access messages and grades from all of your current and completed courses, and view some of the tools that Blackboard has to offer. 00:35 This is also where you'll select your current course to enter the classroom. 00:40 When you enter your course, you'll notice it's organized into three main areas, a details and action space on the left under the instructor's name and image, the main course content area in the center, and a navigation bar located under the course title. 00:58 The details and actions area includes a series of links to the course roster Class Collaborate, which you'll sometimes use to meet with your classmates and some tools and resources that may assist you in the course. 01:11 The course content area is where you'll spend most of your time. 01:14 Near the top of this section, you'll find various resources, including a dedicated discussion forum where you can ask and respond to questions about the course. 01:23 The rest of the course content area is organized into modules, the first of which is the welcome to the course and getting Started module. 01:31 This is where you can find things like the course guide, which briefly outlines the description and purpose of the course, and the course syllabus, 01:39 which provides additional details about the course, as well as an overview of the primary assignments. 01:45 You can also view the grading rubrics used throughout the course. The remaining modules are organized by week. 01:51 Within each weekly module, you can access specific reading materials, discussion forums, assignments, and any other related activities. 02:01 The classroom navigation bar near the top of the page is designed to help you quickly access important course resources, 02:08 including the course calendar, which can help you keep track of due dates for your assignments, announcements, which is where your instructor will share important information about the course discussions. 02:20 This option provides easy access to a list of all discussions included in the course. 02:26 Next is the course grade book, which displays all assignments, due dates, and the status of the assignments you've submitted. 02:33 Once your assignments have been graded, you'll be able to see your score and any instructor feedback. 02:39 This is followed by messages where you can send and receive messages to both classmates and instructors. Finally, groups. 02:47 This is an area where you can collaborate with other students on group assignments. 02:52 That concludes this brief overview of the Blackboard Ultra Classroom. 02:56 For additional information or support, please visit the Classroom Resource Center.
