0:00 I'm going to show you what it takes to 0:01 create this commemorative flag display 0:03 hi I'm Selena buckolz former Secretary 0:05 of the veterans employee Resource Group 0:07 at University of Phoenix I'm one of the 0:09 many volunteers who helped plant over 0:10 10,000 Flags to honor Fallen service 0:13 members as part of our annual Memorial 0:15 Day Ceremony this UOP expedition began 0:17 in 2009 when a few veteran employees 0:19 wanted a way to honor those who paid the 0:21 ultimate sacrifice and service of our 0:23 country the week before Memorial Day we 0:25 create the display to spell out our 0:27 theme on the lawn of our Phoenix campus 0:29 the event culminated in a remembrance 0:30 ceremony the flag display will remain at 0:32 our campus until the Thursday before 0:34 Memorial Day then my favorite part 0:36 happens local charity Arizona Heroes to 0:39 Hometown takes Flags to the National 0:41 Cemetery and other cemeteries so that 0:43 they can be placed on the gravestones of 0:45 local service members as a veteran and 0:47 as a upx employee it's incredible to see 0:50 the community come out and honor the 0:52 sacrifices made by our follen service 0:53 members
