Concurrent Enrollment Program (CEP)
Want to keep your momentum going during community college breaks? If you plan to complete a bachelor's degree from UOPX, complete up to 4 bachelor's courses during breaks and before transferring from community college.
You may be eligible for CEP if you plan on enrolling in one of the bachelor's degree programs:

Nursing
Prepare to enhance your nursing practice, faster. Courses in the Nursing program are 5 weeks long. Equip yourself with professional, post-licensure nursing skills while balancing the demands of work and life.
If you transfer an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) you may complete this program in 14 months. At the time of official evaluation students will be awarded 87 total credits from their ADN and valid unrestricted/unencumbered RN license. RNs without an ADN transfer will be awarded 40 total credits and may complete their degree in 2.5 years.

Yes. We have relationships with community colleges across the country that make transferring credit to University of Phoenix easier for you.
If you have received an associate degree from an institution where we have a 3+1 relationship in place, our 3+1 Transfer Pathway lets you transfer up to 87 credits, the equivalent of 3 years, toward your bachelor’s degree.
If you have received an associate degree from an accredited institution, you’ll save $144 per 3-credit bachelor’s course.
The transfer of credits is at the discretion of the receiving institution. University of Phoenix can perform a pre-evaluation using your unofficial transcripts to give you an idea of how your transfer credits may apply to your selected program. Officially, you need to complete the admissions form, provide information about all schools attended, and sign the transfer request form. When all forms and transcripts are received, you’ll know for sure what transfer credits will apply.
Earned community college credits may be transferable to your next level of learning. Speak with your enrollment representative about specific program requirements. University of Phoenix is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (http://hlcommission.org), an institutional accreditation agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. University of Phoenix has been continually accredited by the Higher Learning Commission since 1978. University of Phoenix obtained its most recent 10-year Reaffirmation of Accreditation in 2022-23. The University’s next Comprehensive Evaluation for Reaffirmation of Accreditation is scheduled for 2032-33.

Terms and Conditions
Associate Transfer Tuition Rate
University of Phoenix (“University”) will offer students who have been conferred an associate degree from a college or university with approved institutional accreditation (hereinafter collectively “Eligible Students”) the Associate Transfer Tuition Rate as set forth in the University’s Academic Catalog toward undergraduate coursework. The Associate Transfer Tuition Rate shall not be combined with, nor shall it apply to any other University promotions, scholarships or tuition reduction offers.
3 + 1 Tuition Benefits
To be eligible for the following tuition benefit, there must be an agreement in place between a community college and the University that sets forth a 3+1 Transfer Pathway that allows for the Eligible Students’ credits to be transferred to one of the following University bachelor’s degree programs (“Agreement”). While the Agreement is in effect, the University will waive the tuition and resource fees for Foundations for University Success (GEN/201) or Professional Contemporary Nursing Role and Practice (NSG/302) for Eligible Students enrolled in the University’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Bachelor of Science in Management or Bachelor of Science in Health Management programs.
Except as provided for herein, Eligible Students are responsible for paying all tuition fees and costs, including any book and materials fees associated with their enrollment at the University.
Concurrent Enrollment Program Benefits
To be eligible for the following tuition benefit, there must be an agreement in place between a community college and the University that sets forth a Concurrent Enrollment Program that allows for the Eligible Students to take up to four upper division courses during semester breaks while completing an associate’s degree. Eligible students will receive a discounted tuition rate of $48 per credit hour for courses in their bachelor's program. This is a savings of $48 per credit off the University's standard tuition rate. Except as provided for herein, Eligible Students are responsible for paying all tuition fees and costs, including any book and materials fees associated with their enrollment at the University.
Tuition Benefits for Nursing Students:
The University will offer Associate Degree of Nursing Graduates from partner community colleges the following:
University will waive the tuition of every 6th course for Associate Degree of Nursing Graduates who enroll in the Registered Nurse to Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree program at the University, and complete 5 courses after the Effective Date of this Agreement as outlined below. This benefit will apply to Associate Degree of Nursing Graduates enrolled in the Nursing program only and cannot be combined with any other University offer or promotion. All other degree, certificate, professional development, and single courses are excluded. Eligible Associate Degree of Nursing Graduates are subject to the University’s admission and academic policies and procedures. The benefit will apply upon verification by the University of the partner school the student completed their ADN program, and any transfer credits from that school.
The University will waive the tuition of every sixth (6th) course for Associate Degree of Nursing Graduates who meet the following criteria:
- Have an Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited community college;
- Enroll or be enrolled in a Nursing University degree program after the Effective Date;
- Successfully start and complete five (5) courses as defined in the Academic Catalog after the Effective Date; and
- Enroll and post attendance (as defined in the University Academic Catalog) in the sixth (6th) course within a 365-day period from the first date of attendance in the student’s first course after the Effective Date.
Once an eligible Associate Degree of Nursing Graduate achieves the 6th course tuition waiver, the 365 day period will start again from the first date of attendance in the next course.
If the eligible Associate Degree of Nursing Graduate does not achieve the 6th course tuition waiver within the initial 365 day period, the 365 day period will commence again from the first date of attendance in the first course after the initial 365 day period expired.
The tuition waiver applies only to the 6th course regardless if the Associate Degree of Nursing Graduate completes the course.
