Dissertation I
Course level: Graduate
The purpose of this class is for the student and dissertation Chair to work together, with the dissertation committee, to finalize and submit the dissertation proposal for approval.Students receive continued support from Chair and committee members to be engaged in communities of scholarship. Competency A: Develop a plan to ensure student, Chair, and committee work together effectively. Competency B: Develop a plan for completing the dissertation proposal. Competency C: Complete a dissertation proposal that meets the Domain I (Problem formulation, contribution to knowledge, review of relevant scholarship) and Domain III (design and logic) criteria in the Dissertation Criteria and Rating Scale and addresses self-assessment and faculty feedback. Competency D: Submit a dissertation proposal for Quality Review - Methods (QRM) approval. Competency E: Submit a dissertation proposal for Institutional Review Board approval. Competency F: Develop a plan for engaging in scholarly communities.
