Terms and Conditions

Associate Transfer Tuition Rate
University of Phoenix (“University”) will offer students who have been conferred an associate degree from a college or university with approved institutional accreditation (hereinafter collectively “Eligible Students”) the Associate Transfer Tuition Rate as set forth in the University’s Academic Catalog toward undergraduate coursework. The Associate Transfer Tuition Rate shall not be combined with, nor shall it apply to any other University promotions, scholarships or tuition reduction offers.

3 + 1 Tuition Benefits
To be eligible for the following tuition benefit, there must be an agreement in place between a community college and the University that sets forth a 3+1 Transfer Pathway that allows for the Eligible Students’ credits to be transferred to one of the following University bachelor’s degree programs (“Agreement”). While the Agreement is in effect, the University will waive the tuition and resource fees for Foundations for University Success (GEN/201) or Professional Contemporary Nursing Role and Practice (NSG/302) for Eligible Students enrolled in the University’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Bachelor of Science in Management or Bachelor of Science in Health Management programs. Except as provided for herein, Eligible Students are responsible for paying all tuition fees and costs, including any book and materials fees associated with their enrollment at the University.

Concurrent Enrollment Program Benefits
To be eligible for the following tuition benefit, there must be an agreement in place between a community college and the University that sets forth a Concurrent Enrollment Program that allows for the Eligible Students to take up to four upper division courses during semester breaks while completing an associate’s degree. Eligible students will receive the University’s Associate Transfer tuition rate, which is a discount of $48 per credit hour off of the University’s standard tuition rate for courses in their bachelor's program. Students in this category will be given a guarantee of these tuition rates until their program completion deadline, unless they change programs or program versions. Except as provided for herein, Eligible Students are responsible for paying all tuition fees and costs, including any book and materials fees associated with their enrollment at the University.

Tuition Benefits
The University will offer the following benefit to students who are legally residing in the U.S., have attended an alliance community college and who enroll in a bachelors or masters online degree program, certificate program, concurrent enrollment program or credit-bearing course with the University.

The University will waive the tuition of every 6th course for eligible students from alliance community colleges who enroll in a bachelors or master’s online program, certificate program, concurrent enrollment program or credit-bearing course at the University, and complete 5 courses after the Effective Date as outlined below. This benefit cannot be combined with any other University offer or promotion, excludes competency-based programs the University may offer (e.g. MBA-CB) and will not be applied retroactively. Eligible students are subject to the University’s admission, tuition and academic policies and procedures.

The University will waive the tuition of every sixth (6th) course for eligible students who meet the following criteria:

  (i) Identify themselves to University as a current or previous student at an alliance community college.
(ii) Enroll into a University bachelors or masters online degree program, certificate program, concurrent enrollment program or credit-bearing course after the effective date.
(iii)  Successfully start and complete five (5) courses after the effective date.
(iv)  Enroll and post attendance (as defined in the University Academic Catalog) in the 6th course within a 365 day period commencing from the first date of attendance in the eligible student’s first course after the Effective Date of the Agreement.
(v) Maintain attendance with the University defined as not taking a break longer than 365 days.

For clarity, all eligible students must still meet the above criteria to receive the tuition benefit. Once an eligible student achieves the 6th course tuition waiver, the 365-day period will start again from the first date of attendance in the next course.

If the eligible student does not achieve the 6th course tuition waiver within the initial 365-day period, the 365-day period will commence again from the first date of attendance in the first course after the initial 365-day period expired.

The tuition waiver applies only to the 6th course regardless if the eligible student completes the course.

Please check with an enrollment representative at 844-937-8679 to see if your community college is one of our alliance colleges.

[1] To get your free course, you need to pass your five and start your sixth within a year (365 days) of starting your first course. Once you receive your 6th free course, your year (365 days) will start over.
