Program Purpose Statement

This is a post-licensure nursing program designed for nurses with current RN licensure who desire to obtain a Master of Science degree in Nursing with a focus on nursing informatics. The program prepares the graduate to function in nursing informatics leadership roles; specialize in the design and use of electronically stored data to influence quality in care delivery; and provide evidence of meeting quality, compliance and regulatory standards and requirements. The graduate who uses elective opportunities to complete necessary practicum hours will be eligible to sit for the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Informatics Nursing Certification (RN-BC).
