Sai Raghav is a Research Fellow with the Center for Leadership and Entrepreneurial Research (CLER) at the University of Phoenix and the Founder and Managing Editor of The Leadership Pantheon: Practitioner Deep-Dives (Elevating Scholarly Insights for Everyday Execution).

His academic and professional journey has been anything but conventional. Originally trained in healthcare, Sai later transitioned into business and organizational leadership, developing a deep interest in understanding why some leaders, teams, and organizations consistently outperform others despite operating under similar constraints. That curiosity continues to shape his work today. His research interests include leadership, organizational culture, change management, cross-cultural management, decision-making, organizational effectiveness, and the practical realities of leading people in increasingly complex environments. He has a particular interest in organizational behavior, Hofstede's Cultural Dimensions Theory and the ways culture influences leadership, communication, and workplace dynamics across global contexts.

Professionally, Sai works in operations management at Costco Wholesale, one of the world's largest retailers. Having spent years at the intersection of frontline operations and organizational execution, he brings a practitioner-oriented perspective to leadership research. His experiences have reinforced a belief that some of the most valuable leadership lessons emerge not from executive suites alone, but from the everyday realities of people solving problems, managing relationships, adapting to change, and creating value in diverse work environments.

Through The Leadership Pantheon, Sai seeks to build a global platform where scholars, practitioners, professionals, and curious thinkers can come together to examine leadership through multiple lenses. He is particularly passionate about democratizing leadership knowledge and creating space for voices that are often overlooked in traditional leadership discussions.

His vision is to bridge the gap between scholarship and practice by translating research into accessible insights while simultaneously elevating the experiences of professionals from diverse industries, cultures, and regions of the world. He believes that meaningful leadership insights can emerge from virtually any setting-from a manufacturing facility in Eastern Europe to a retail operation in Canada, from a classroom in South America to a healthcare organization in Asia.

Beyond his research activities, Sai teaches Business English to professionals around the world and enjoys collaborating with individuals from different countries, industries, and cultural backgrounds. These interactions continually reinforce his belief that leadership is ultimately a human endeavor-one that transcends professions, organizational hierarchies, and national boundaries.

Outside of work and research, Sai enjoys traveling, exploring different cultures, and studying the forces that have shaped civilizations throughout history. He is an avid student of history and is particularly fascinated by how historical events continue to influence modern societies, institutions, leadership practices, and global affairs. A longtime admirer of the Windy City, he appreciates Chicago’s rich architectural heritage, cultural diversity, political history, and enduring influence on business and urban development.

Sai is also a lifelong language enthusiast. He speaks four languages and is continually pursuing opportunities to learn new ones, believing that language serves as a gateway to understanding different cultures, perspectives, and ways of thinking. His passion for learning extends well beyond academia, encompassing human behavior, decision-making, cross-cultural interactions, and the often-unseen forces that shape how individuals, organizations, and societies function.

He currently resides in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, where he balances writing, teaching, operations management, and the rewarding challenge of raising his daughter while remaining committed to lifelong learning and intellectual curiosity.

"Leadership is not about having all the answers. It's about asking better questions."
