Dr. Erik Bean

Erik serves both industry and academia. He is an engagement expert and a recognized thought leader in strategic customer experience communication. Recent peer reviewed publications include Autoethnography of the cultural competence exhibited at an African American weekly newspaper organization in Issues in Informing Science and Information Technology and A review of typography to improve your e-learning in the Journal of Online Learning Research and Practice.

As a scholar, Erik holds a doctorate in education with sanctioned research interests in cultural competence, immediacy, leadership, meditation, and mental health. He is the section editor of Leadership Perspectives, The Journal of Leadership Studies, John Wiley & Sons. He also is executor of the Ethan Bean Mental Wellness Foundation, EthanBean.org, a Michigan 501(c)3 public charity and is co-author of Ethan’s Healthy Mind Express: A Children’s First Mental Health Primer book.

Erik has written numerous peer reviewed published books in curriculum development including his most popular title, Social media lesson plans for YouTube, Facebook, NaNoWriMo, and CreateSpace: Plus intro to blogger.
